Las Piñas Kid Racer Juan Miguel Riguera Wins in Rotax Max Challenge - Philippines Series

Juan Miguel Riguera wins the Petron Cadet Class category as the Champion in Mini Race sub-event of Rotax Max Challenge Philippines Series held in Carmona Racetrack (CRT) in Cavite last April 10, 2022. Racer #44 Juan Miguel, a resident of Las Piñas City, and a scion of the popular Riguera family in his town, performed well in his category where he placed consistently on pole position (1st place) from Time Trial, to Qualifying and into the Finals where he finished 1st as the Champion ahead of 2nd placer #40 Dan Matthew Miranda and #9 3rd placer Malaya Buensuceso.

This 3 kid racers were always together in scorecard from Time Trial to Finals in 1-2-3 finishes except for the Finals where Dan Matthew Miranda overtook Malaya to gain 2nd place podium. Other kid racers such as #72 Jaiden Chadwick Querimit, #68 Marcus Garreth Young, #93 Noah Hipolito, and #10 Ronaldo Alojado who are mostly graduates of PMKA - Petron Motorsports Karting Academy finished 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively. Most of the participants are under the Mercedes Young Driver Development Team headed by team Owner Mike Nocom with veteran international tuner-trainer Richard Peek handling the technical side.

The 2nd round of the series is slated to happen this coming May 14 and 15, 2022 in Palawan International Circuit.
