Racer Bern Corpino in Three-peat Philippines National Karting Championship Win.

In a last-lap ferocious dive. frontrunner karting sensation Bern "The Spark" Corpino overtook his arch-rival teammate Danzel Waytan to win anew making it a 3-straight championship win in the recent ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE - PHILIPPINES SERIES held at Clark International Speedway, Pampanga last June 19, 2022. This recent victory is the third straight for the young karter who also won in the opening rounds of ROTAX MAX and ROK GP giving him an early lead for the run-up to grab the 2022 National Junior Karter of the Year Award.

Bern, now nicknamed "The Spark" because of his dynamic personality on and off the track, is a racer of the DRQ Motorsports team competing under the Juniors Class category. He is joined by his teammates Danzel Waytan and Joshua David Marquez which is considered a triumvirate who always aim to win the 1-2-3 podium among themselves. Much as they all want to garner the top 3 places, his comrade Joshua was meted a penalty of 10 seconds for a jumpstart leaving Bern and Danzel to snatch the 1st and 2nd places.

Teammate Joshua Marquez placed a strong 1st in the Time Trial while the usual pole-sitter Bern only took 3rd fastest time which made his supporters including his parents worry about his lack of pace. Bern, who is being trained and coached by the Philippines Multiple Karter of the Year John T. Dizon, picked up the speed he needed in the qualifying following heat to gain pole position en route to the Finals. Bern who is being promoted and talent managed by RacersPh Productions is considered one of the most receptive and coachable talents in the Juniors class. His high EQ and near-flamboyant personality off the track are belied by his usual killer instinct on track.

The Finals started well as Joshua led in the opening lap but he was penalized outright with a jumpstart violation thus the initial laps actually belong to Bern and compatriot Danzel. The laps ahead are well managed and led by Bern but the early sectors in the last lap were taken by teammate Danzel which forced Bern to go for broke in the few remaining turns peaking up his speed and making a last-ditch dive to overtake his rival and eventually snatching the Championship from the jaws of defeat.
This Rotax competition is a qualifier stint for the World Finals which is to be held soon in Portimao, Portugal where top karters from each participating country are invited to compete thus if Bern continues his winning run will give him the reward to compete in his first-ever international competition.
