Track Heartthrob Joshua Marquez hopes to bounce back in Round 2 of Rotax Max Challenge - Philippines

The strong trio racers of DRQ Motorsports started well in the Rotax Max Junior class time trial where Driver #19 Bern Corpino took pole position, followed by Carmona track newcomer #35 Danzel Waytan, and crowd favorite #22 Joshua David Marquez took 3rd position to complete their dominance of the field, only separated by less than a second in between them.

As much as they want to maintain the 1-2-3 finish in whatever order, the luck did not stay with Joshua who seems to be the most experienced among the troika having been awarded 1st runner-up in the Petron Intermediate Class last year. He could have brought home the Championship trophy in 2021 but a racing incident in the final round set back his leadership. Again, last race-day April 10, 2022, a racing incident in the 1st lap of the Finals put him on the back of the grid. With his kart suffering from some mechanical problems, Joshua cannot keep up with the pace anymore but he bravely finished the race to avoid a DNF.

Young Joshua who also do eSports on the side, is now preparing to recover from that loss because expectations were high on him because of his experience over the others. With good-luck on his side and coupled with finesse and safety driving, the home-track good-looking spectators' favorite will surely do his best to deliver in the next round.
